Context
A full-renovation company working in Seville and its metropolitan area: homes, kitchens, bathrooms and commercial units. Its pitch is the one the sector most lacks: a single site manager, a deadline agreed in writing and a quote broken down line by line.
The site had to say that plainly and keep the quote one tap away, whatever page the visitor is on.
Approach
- Three ways to get in touch, none of them hidden. A form, WhatsApp with the message already written for the service being viewed, and a call button. Someone on their phone standing in the room they want redone doesn’t fill in forms: they message.
- Static HTML with no client framework. No React, no Preact. The mobile menu, the header and the scroll reveals are three small inline scripts. What gets downloaded is the document, one stylesheet and the fonts.
- Security with a strict CSP. The content policy doesn’t allow arbitrary inline scripts: each one is authorised by its hash, computed at build time. Full security headers and HSTS.
- A form with layered defences. The same validation on client and server, a honeypot against bots, mandatory consent and an endpoint that only accepts requests from its own origin.
- Local SEO by area. Contractor structured data with the towns it covers, opening hours and coordinates, because the search that matters is “renovations” plus the town’s name.
What I built
- Static Astro architecture, no CMS
- Design system with an editorial serif and a navy-and-gold palette
- Service catalogue with WhatsApp pre-filled per service
- Quote form with shared validation and authenticated SMTP delivery
- CSP with build-time hashes and security headers
- Mobile menu as a modal dialog with a focus trap, and motion that honours
prefers-reduced-motion - Full legal pages, with no cookie banner because the site sets no cookies
Outcome
Live on its own domain. A site that loads without waiting on any framework and keeps the quote one tap away from every page.
