Context

Matresu OB buys land and property with potential in the Sierra Norte de Madrid, studies its viability, carries out the work with the group’s construction arm, and finds investors for each project.

That isn’t a property portal. A portal lists everything on the market and lets the visitor filter; here the proposition is the opposite — the selection has already been made, and what’s on show is the judgement behind it.

Approach

  • Method ahead of catalogue. Navigation gives “Investments” and “Methodology” equal billing. Investors aren’t buying a building, they’re buying confidence in how it was chosen, so the process had to be somewhere you could visit, not a footnote.
  • A single point of contact as the argument. The hero says it plainly: they select, study and build with the group’s own construction company. In a sector where the buyer ends up coordinating four firms, that’s the difference, and it belongs on the first screen.
  • Editorial serif over golden-hour photography of the sierra, with gold as accent. No blue renders, no rising-graph icons.
  • An insights section with real content — which municipalities have traction, how to validate buildable land, what margin a renovation-for-resale actually leaves. Acquisition through judgement rather than advertising.
  • Self-hosted PHP form backend, sending through the domain’s own mail rather than an external service. An interested investor’s details never pass through a third party, and there’s no monthly fee to renew.
  • Static Astro with strict TypeScript.

What I built

  • Static Astro architecture with TypeScript in strict mode
  • Editorial design system with a gold palette over warm neutrals
  • Investment project pages with their viability studies
  • Insights section for content-led acquisition
  • Form with a self-hosted PHP backend sending over the domain’s SMTP
  • Technical SEO with sitemap

Outcome

Live on its own domain. Being static, the surface to maintain is minimal: no CMS, no database, no admin panel to update.

A note on this work

Built at Xpandex, where I run the full cycle: design, development, performance, accessibility, technical SEO and deployment.
